The short answer is it is possible! The long answer is implants can only be placed sometimes at the time of extraction. This is known as an 'immediate
implant placement’ but it can only be performed when the condition of the tooth allows. Otherwise, implants are normally done after a healing period,
from 6 to 10 weeks after removal of the tooth to allow healing and optimal outcome.
Dental implants such as All-on-4® are a great solution for people missing teeth or wearing dentures. Denture wearers often complain of the limitations of foods they can eat, poor fit and how the denture can irritate their gums. A removable denture puts a lot of pressure directly on the bone surface which, over time, invariably results in bone wear and this is why the denture starts to lose its fit.
